“When you hold my hand I’m reminded that I’m not alone in this world, that somebody loves me, and that I have a best friend.” ~ Darlene Schacht
You might remember this sweet couple, Terry and Stanley from their beautiful engagement session at Acworth Beach, Georgia.
Terry and Stanley found their best friend in each other and to no surprise, they also found true love. This extraordinarily fun loving pair exchanged vows at the Saint John Vianney Catholic Church in Lithia Springs, Georgia where they promised to love each other every single day for the rest of their lives. At the core of this wedding, of course, was the relationship between Terry and Stanley, a beautiful young couple who built a strong foundation with the support of their closest friends and family, in accordance with their faith and cultural traditions.
Terry and Stanley are very proud of their Jamaican and Nigerian culture and they made sure that it was represented in every detail. The venue décor was absolutely stunning with beautiful tropical arrangements and colors of coral and green, which created a vibrant and sophisticated island feel. Terry and Stanley’s cocktail hour guests were fed beef empanadas and Nigerian chicken suya; which was followed by a buffet style reception to include favorites like Jamaican stewed oxtails, fried plantains, mac n’ cheese, and kale salad, which was a hit! Terry and Stanley knew that their wedding was as much for their guests as it was for them and they had 3 big surprises in store to make it a one-of-a-kind experience; a live steel pannist to set the mood for their outdoor cocktail hour, Caribbean dancers who performed a few numbers to get everyone up on their feet and dancing at the reception, and an exciting re-entrance by the bride and groom in a colorful and stunning ensemble, paying tribute to Stanley’s Nigerian heritage; where they were crowded around by their friends and family tossing money at them as part of their wedding customs…which this couple nicknamed the money dance.
To find true love is a blessing. Thank you so much for an amazing experience, Terry and Stanley!
